Blackberry 8830 World Edition Unlocking Instructions
Warning: Do not enter any wrong unlock unlock codes on your Blackberry 8830 World Edition mobile phones. If you enter over a certain amount of wrong unlock codes on your mobile phone, your phone may get hard locked and sometimes become unusable.

1 - Insert any sim card in your Blackberry 8830 World Edition and start your Blackberry 8830 World Edition,
2 - Go to the settings menu => and then Options,
3- Select Advanced options => and then Sim card,
4- Type MEPD using your Blackberry 8830 World Edition keyboard (NOTE: You will not see any text appear on the screen while typing MEPD),
5 - Hold the ALT Key while typing in MEPE on your Blackberry 8830 World Edition keyboard (NOTE: You will not see any text appear on the screen while typing MEPD),
6 - You will then be presented with a prompt "Enter Network MEP Code". Type in the Unlock Code and press in the track wheel / jog dial to confirm,
7 - Your Blackberry 8830 World Edition will now be unlocked.

Gina : I hold the ALT type MEPD, then hold ALT again an type MEPE however the prompt "Enter Network MEP code" never pops up or presents. Help!

You do not hold the ALT key to type MEPD, you hold the shift key. Then you hold shift and type MEP followed by the ALT key + E (2) for the code MEP2. Hope that helps.

turnsy : i get the MEPD code in but after that when i type the MEP2
code in nothing comes up

Ben : you type M E P D .... YOU will not see anything...Then you type again M E P and then hold the alt key and push the number 2 at the same time
